Bleep Bloop: Mitch Murder takes on Sonic, Final Fight and more

mitchmurderBleep Bloop is may end up being a weekly somewhat regular series  couple of posts discussing video game or otherwise nerd-related music. It will be lovingly hosted and curated by Isaac Noland aka Isaacbrah.

In the post-New Years slump that is early January, a little flash of blue in the Soundcloud stream caught my eye.

Okay, I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t be at least moderately amused to see a faithful cover of the Green Hill Zone theme from Sonic. So, delving slightly deeper, I followed the trail to Mitch Murder’s profile to check out the type of music a retro game fan makes.

Unsurprisingly, he has taken on a few other series’ iconic sounds.

As you can tell from the screenshot, that’s a little Final Fight homage.

Even everyone’s favorite Mega Buster slingin’ hero isn’t safe.

The two Mega Man tracks are from a compilation called “Mega Man Renaissance”, presented by Karakasa Music, an electronic music web label. Check the link for details and downloads from the whole project.

Actually, every song on this post is available for free download. Generally I will try to keep it that way as much as possible, I understand many of you probably have the same mp3 addiction that I do.

Wait, I lied.

This is not a free download, nor is it related to video games.

But with quotes from Jawaharlal Nehru and Carl Sagan, I’ll be damned if this does not belong on Beta Fish.

Goodnight, folks.
